New matchmaking titanfall
Titans - besides of Tone, which can be unlocked for I think 20 credits or so so basically available from the start are very balanced, everyone has some advantages and disadvantages to the kit and different skill requirements.
But not everyone who played on the free weekend bought the game, so now you're playing with new matchmaking titanfall people who have been playing for over a month in some cases, or longer if you factor in time playing the Beta or even TF 1.

This is also the first time a game has made me question if I should actually get some better peripherals and a monitor to see if that might improve my skills.
This subreddit is fan-run and is not an official Titanfall website. Only Reddit told me that the Volt might be nice which it is.
I don't know what's changed but the games I've been having lately are terrible. The lack of matchmaking in Titanfall 2 is seriously hurting both my enjoyment and overall opinion of the game. Maybe it's just new matchmaking titanfall to becoming a series that's just not for me: The match making system is likely also playing a role in the issue too. If this game went down a similar path as Destiny, I'd be pretty bummed. Really just my initial impressions with it so far, but I'm beginning to think maybe it's not an increased skill ceiling as much as the way skill is rewarded now.
Didn't equip a spare Titan card because you didn't have new matchmaking titanfall I love the game but dear lord I can only take a beating so much before I need a break. To ask in another way that supports the actual comments: Even when I really suck I still feel like I have a fighting chance and usually have fun regardless.
But I think this is coming from mostly "causal" players like myself that are really getting their asses handed to them compared to the first game.
Over and over, with no goddamn chance to actually learn to play the game.
Perhaps this is not exactly true, but that's how it feels to me anyway. I don't necessarily mean all my games are like this, but a large majority have been, and it's seriously making me reconsider why I bought this bloody thing in the first place.
Which naturally is going to mean that skilled players will do better and better as the match progresses. Little bit of tweaking and especially better maps with better wall runs and routes will do a lot here.

Yeah, I think the matchmaking is the culprit. When you play attrition, what type of scores are you getting? Playing against 6 people working together vs 6 randoms just makes you not want to search again. I've had plenty of close matches, although usually not when I'm playing with an entire party.

And don't get me started on the rate of progression in this thing. Combine that with the faster time-to-kill and it makes titans feel much more valuable and deadly overall. The game doesn't feel like this AT ALL on console--at least the PS4 version that I've played--and it doesn't make any sense that the game wouldn't ever put you on a winning team. SBMM will forever be a controversial topic.
